The Beta and Alpha would start off down the slope, keeping their pace even as their steps fell into time, the beat of their paws against the earth seemed to urge them onwards, and Cru would turn and grin to the girl as she spoke, and his head would nod once in approval to the plan. As they reached the herd the pair would split up, Svan would run to one side and Cru would swerve to take the other, so the herd could not escape by turning to the unprotected side.



He would swerve his run slowly inwards to Svan as they progressed, thinning out the herd until only the chosen victim remained. Their hunt leader would lunge for the creatures legs, and a moment later Scorp would latch on to its neck and Sol would take the throat. Crucifix had taken up a stance slightly in front to head off the beast if it escaped them, but they had it well surrounded and the three of them would take it down. Cru would slow his pace, panting with laughter and heat from the run. He would stop in a moment and turn to face the prey, and the three wolves that had taken it down, and throw back his head and let out a howl of victory, this would go around the pack wolves well.
