Staying awake wasn't really her forte, not at the moment. She was getting better, healing slowly from the inside. It was still painful to be full out running, but mostly she was just lazy. She couldn't even remember the last time that she had slept for this long. She didn't even stir when her two little bundles sneaked out, only when Scorpion's booming voice sounded did her purple gaze open. Blinking slowly, she groaned and curled her body around her pups. That is when the mother realized that they weren't there. Othello wasn't usually a quick waker-upper, but she jumped to her paws and gazed around the den. No pups. She heard a little oof though, and her panic left her. They must have wandered outside then. She wasn't too concerned, she knew that Scorpion never seemed to wander far. As quickly as she had woken up, Othello went back into her grumpy morning self and trudged out of the den.

She squinted against the harsh light of the sun, blinking as she focused on the two little ones playing. Scorpion was looming over them, and with a soft chuckle she folded herself upon her rump and leaned against the cave wall. She would just sit here and wait, watching to see how their pups would react to their huge father.

OOC : I totally pictured Othello as a human, leaning against the door jam in a fluffy house coat and a cup of coffee while writing this xD Just wanted to share that.
