Cold mud oozed up between her toes with each step. Overhead low hanging moss occasionally brushed the yearling's back as she clambered over ridiculously big roots. Fog lingered above the swamp floor, giving the already moist air a cold tinge.

The creep factor here was at least a four, which made it worth exploring but not heart-poundingly scary. A nice little stroll, really. Warja wondered if either of her siblings had been here yet. If not she was definitely going to have to drag them along one day. It was gorgeous! Sunlight filtered through the treetops, casting shadows all over the place, and the spanish moss drifted lazily with the breeze. Everything about it was ethereal and begged to be investigated.

Balancing on a curved root, Warja gazed into the water below, watching small fish glide about. They scattered whenever her shadow moved over them, but that was just as well. She was only looking. Their presence did give her an idea, though. Where there were little fish, there were big ones. Perhaps fishing was a possibility here? She'd never fished before, but hey, everyone started somewhere. The yearling leaned down towards the water to dip her paw in.
