Rays of Light

She wiggled her tongue out at her brother when he said that he was trying to catch her. "You can never catch me brover! I sooooooo fast that you can't eva get me!" She squealed, shoving her nose into the sky proudly. Her serene post didn't last long though, soon she burst into a fit of giggles. She was pretty silly, even she had to admit it. Her focus was taken away from her brother when her father spoke, telling her that there were rules that she had to follow and that she needed to listen. Mercy's lower lip puckered out as she let out a huff, looking up at her dad with huge puppy eyes. "But Daaaaaaad, I just want to pway and hunt! We didn' go vewy faaaar, an' Mom is righ' there!" She whined, her long white tail shaking in the direction of her mom.

"Mercy, listen to your father dear."

Her mothers words made her pout further, but she was on her back in no time flat. She would forget about that rule for now, because it was play time. Her tree of a father spoke, telling her that they would too be that tall. She let out a pleased little gasp as her father thumped onto the ground, surrounding her body with his long legs before he chewed on her paws. Mercy squealed loudly and tried to wiggle them out of the way of his teeth, growls being interrupted with giggles. "Daaady nooo! I need those to walk pwaces!" She called, her breath wheezing as she fought to regain her breathing through all the laughing and growling.

Mercy's head rocked back and forth on the ground, trying to move her paws so that she swatted Scorpion on the nose. "Revengeh help me! The big ol' Daddy has me!" She called, laughing as she tried to wiggle her way out of the toe eating. "Brover heeeelp!" She wailed, trying to get her counterpart in on the action. Wild giggles and growled rolled around outside of the cave, bringing new life to the spring air.
