That night the babe would wake to a power-hungry mood. To where energy filled her dark soul and awaited it's release. Usually the woman constantly woke up to this mood-...but decided to fall back asleep. This time she would rise and make her way to the battlefield, where she would prove her excellence to the world. Where she would feel blood, warm blood, roll down her cheeks and send thrilling chills up her spine. It was time to show Alacritia who she was and why she was here. No matter the partner that responds to her summoning/challenging call. She was determined to feel blood, to draw it out of someone, and to taste it flowing through her jaws.
Catrix, resting silently in the Saratoga Wood, would exhale smoothly as she stared into the ebony distance. Full of trees, full of ash, full of hell. Her forearms were crossed over her chest with her tail wrapped around her, keeping her warm from the lingering winter air. Even though spring was blooming from the icy shadows. The sooty bitch lowered her chin and rested it on the dusty ground- nearly sneezing to the stirring clouds of dirt. But she held it back and continued to stare into nothing. As if something so interesting was standing right there before her.
But suddenly her train of thought crashed and collided with reality. Snorting softly, her mind immediately sank into thought. The first thing that came to her mind was 'blood.' A spar, of course, would sooth her gloominess. To feel pain. She'd rather feel pain then nothing at all...slowly rising to her feet, the woman would extend her back out to as far as she could manage. Her tail would align with her spine fleetingly. But as soon as it rose, it fell between her hind legs like a limb soggy piece of bark. Exhaling smoothly, the babe would turn and begin her run to the battlefield. While she traveled, though, she wondered who'd arrive to challenge her. To stand in saying, "I'm better than you. I'll fight you to prove it."
A laugh bubbled easily from her throat at the thought. She hoped anyone would come at all! Once she was finished thinking she snapped back into reality, again, and quickened her speed through the dewy grass. But finally, she had made it. Catrix slowly lifted her muzzled and inhaled the clear air...blood. Decay. Death. She loved it all. Making her way toward a massive clearing the babe found her spot at the edge and tipped her head back, releasing a cracked, summoning howl for a partner. To see who would dare challenge her...
