The larger viking woman stated that she had accepted Katja's offer, and eyes slitted Katja simply nodded at first. Good, good, she'd been more than short of capable bodies, and no viking could have survived as long as she had if they were not capable - if you were not able to fight you were no real viking. Of course all she had was this woman's word that she was a proper viking, but her intuition, that touch of Freya's paw on her shoulder guiding her, said that she was.
"No questions," she said, shaking her head. "It is actions, and skill, that I care for, not words or past. You will have the rank of thegn, unless you prove unworthy of such warrior prestige." She turned from the viking then, gesturing for her to cross the border. "You will want to find a sleeping-spot I am sure, and to learn the territory. I will leave you to explore for now. Welcome to Ebony, Sigyn." What she needed to say was said, so the smaller viking melted off among the ruins to see to her duties, and to allow the new warrior to explore without Katja watching over her shoulder.
