A new beginning. Chocolate paws had stopped just feet from the border. Ivory ears pushed forward. Emerald jewels looked out before her. Nostrils flared, taking in the scents around her. Could it be? Could this be her new home? The earthen colored she-wolf seated herself, waiting quietly for a moment, stilling herself. She had heard a rumor or two about the packs in this land. Also a possible impending war. Her decision was crucial not only for her happiness, but for her survival. A good strong pack that could protect, along with provide for her needs and desires. She still knew very little of each pack, only knowing of Amenti, her previous home, Tortuga, where she would never go, and Valhalla, which was farther from here. But there where two other packs, Seracia, and Ludicael. What did they stand for? Would she call one of them home? Or would she venture farther for Valhalla. Questions buzzed her mind relentlessly. Before any doubt could creep into her mind, the she-wolf would toss her head back, lips forming an O, and release her melody for all to hear, but only calling for one. She wanted to speak to the Alpha. She wanted to know what this pack was about, what it stood for. Bring her call to an end, she settled into wait. Tail curled her paws as haunches remained resting of the earth. Audits twitched, listening to the foreign noises that surrounded her. It was so different from her previous home in the forest, where thick trees grew taller than you could see. It almost looked barren here, aside from the odd looking plants that grew freely around her. If this pack didn't suite her then she would press on to Ludicael in the east and to Valhalla in the west. It would be a long journey, but she was determined. She wanted a home, where she could settle down, perhaps find a mate, have puppies, and live happily ever after. For the most part at least. She wasn't quite to so foolish as to believe that it would truly happen that way. She began to fidget, growing anxious. Eyes drifted shut briefly to still herself. Calm down. She repeated it softly in her mind, focusing on the task at hand and the outcome she wanted. She rose to her paws, paced a few steps before standing still once more. For the rest of her wait she would remain standing, tail hanging idly, brushing against her heels softly. Had she been heard? Walk "Talk" Think |
