Signy Lassair

After the challenge, after Erani had been defeated and before anyone had recovered from their shock enough to remember her, before she could get in trouble for sneaking in to watch, Signy had snuck away. It was disappointing she didn't get to say goodbye to her tiger but after Erani had treated her like a baby and sent her off to sit with the stupid antlerless moose animals she wasn't really in the mood to hang around long enough to get in even more trouble.

She had mostly wandered since, uncertain where her mother and siblings were, but her hunting techniques had improved and she had added lots of small animals to her diet on her own. She'd made it back to Valhalla, but there'd been no sign of her family and the border had reeked of different wolves and the scent change was... scary. So she'd wandered.

She had managed to find her way back to the place that had changed everything, and after some judicious observation had come to the conclusion that this was where everyone came when they wanted to fight people. Now even as she observed two wolves who didn't even seem to know each other squaring off in... a practice fight? ... she heard a call ring out. Someone was calling for anyone to come and fight them, and the wildfire that was Signy rose in excitement. She could answer call and fight them. She wasn't scared of a fight!

The small wolf bounded to her oversized paws and scurried off in that direction in a flurry of dirt and grass. But on coming upon the other wolf, Signy was shocked. The wolf was so small! Well, she was still a good solid ten or so inches taller than Signy, but that was considerably less than the pup - solitary for so long during her most rapid growth periods - had expected.

"Hey!" she called out, "I'll fight you!" She dropped halfway into a crouch that was far more hunter than fighter, her black-tipped nearly-black tail stilled as though she were stalking a squirrel. Fighting couldn't be that much different. She even fluffed her silky fur out and pinned her ears to show the other wolf she was serious.

This pine marten has a very foul mouth and a confusing accent. He is also fierce and hates to be called adorable. You have been warned.
