Signy's grip would be gained, and a growl of triumph muffled by fur issued from the pup as she clung. Her footing adjusted as her tail lashed to keep her balanced. Toes dug in as she attempted to push forward, wanting to shove her larger opponent, but then... Suddenly her head was ringing, and she was sitting back on her haunches with no idea where her mouthful of fur had gone, weaving drunkenly.

A quick shake of the head brought clarity - her opponent had hit Signy in the head and knocked her momentarily silly, but Signy was quick to reset what defenses she thought to do - lowering her center of gravity, evenly distributing her weight lightly over all four feet, her joints bent and loose. Her ears, still ringing slightly, pressed back against her aching skull as her hackles rose and her eyes narrowed in concentration.

This time when Signy attacked as jaws darted out she was aiming lower, trying to latch on to Misha's left foreleg at the elbow, trying to enclose the whole front bend within her jaws, muzzle to the inside of the leg and lower jaw to the outside.
