NAME: Obscuro Sovari-Armada
ALIGNMENT: Neutral, but will change depending on influences
APPEARANCE: Presenting a pelt of blue and silver tones, the boy is handsome though contains one flaw. However, he doesn't see it as a flaw after some time of coping with it. And although he was born that way, it bothers him none. He is blind, his eyes colorless and unseeing upon the lands. And unfortunately, he will never get to see the beauty of it. And yet, it does not deter him. His base pelt is a bluish cobalt, a color that runs in the Armada lines while his other markings are lighter slate blue in color. Encircling his unseeing eyes, a ring of slate blue. The end of his muzzle is grey, though that's the only part that contains dull color. Inner ear fur is slate blue, and from the point of his crown does the slate color travel down his back to the very end of his tail. The same color trails beneath his chin and underbelly, his legs bearing only a hint of it as it blends subtly into the cobalt. Although he is flawed, his musculature upon full growth will be well toned for he will always be trying to prove himself and putting himself under rigorous training. He will come to stand around 38" in height and weigh around 140 pounds.
PERSONALITY: Obscuro isn't exactly a social butterfly. In fact, he deigns to be around others due to his flaw. His blindness seen by others as a deformity, yet he does not see it as such. However, that does not stop him from believing it. He believes in the term "What does not kill me, makes me stronger" and it is in those words he will find the strength and will to keep fighting. Blind or not, he will always strive for excellence. He aims to please, his impaired vision never hindering him for it is in that weakness that will allow him to bring out other strengths. As a result, his sense of hearing and awareness will rise, the brute able to feel the location of his enemies and prey with the vibrations he feels through his paws. He learns to be in tune with everything around him, and it is also in this that will make him more cunning. One at times, may not even be able to tell that he is blind, for he plays it off so well that he might as well not be. However, he will remain close to Glaciem lands and might hardly venture from them in the event he might get lost. He is honorable at times, extremely loyal to his family and has an almost twisted sense of humor. For his life is full of darkness, he will never see the beauty. Thus he only knows ugliness, and as such he will be somewhat twisted and deceitful. He will use his teeth for renting apart his enemies, though only if he is insulted. Even in this lack of vision, he will strive to dominate like his father before him. He claims ambition and pride, two traits gained by his parents. He only strives for excellence, and he strives to get what he wants. He will lie and deceive those he holds no loyal bounds to, if only to trick them into following him home where he will then cast shackles upon them.
RP SAMPLE:
Obscuro had left the den, head held high and senses alert for the approach of any. Although he was in pack territory, he was generally safe. Sightless eyes saw nothing but darkness; but it was in this that he was able to feel everything around him. The snow swept about his paws, the boy practically able to feel every shard he touched as he walked. His tail was held mid-level with his body, the tip of it curling in slightly as it brushed his hocks. He looked about, catching the scent of others nearby while the sound of battle cry filled the air. He stopped, listening with a tilted head before continuing in eagerness. A training session it seemed, was being held. In eager swiftness he would go, the boy determined to prove himself as usual. And upon arriving, he could hear the fierce cries of those before him as they battled in training. He would stand by, however, doubtful that they'd let him join...for he was impaired, and so he seemed to be deemed the outcast. He sat there in the shadows, listening to the sound of others, their paws shuffling in the snow and bodies colliding.
The scent of one other would reach him, a boy like him. Another oddity. His head would turn towards him, Obscuro softly calling out to him. He waited a moment, then the steady sound of footfalls would come towards him. The other boy had joined him, and Obscuro would face his direction. "What is your name? We've not met before." He would ask him, waiting for a response. The stranger would then respond to him, "Kyung...nice to meet you, Obscuro." Obscuro would sit quiet for a moment, wondering how to picture him. He didn't know what colors were, except for black of course, and so he would grow curious to know. "Kyung...may I ask what color you are?" This would be among the first, besides his litter mates, that would know his blindness. At least, that he would willingly acknowledge, anyway. And it was then that the ebony boy would answer. "I'm solid black. My pelt holds no other color but dark, my eyes too."
Obscuro would tilt his head only slightly, black? How ironic. That was all he could see, the only color he knew. It was easy to picture then, the color of his half-sibling. He would stand, facing the boy as determination grew within him. "Thank you, it is easy to picture you now. That is the only color known to me, so this should be relatively interesting." He offered a smile, head turning to face the sounds nearby for a few moments before facing the ebony boy once more. "Would you like to train with me?" Kyung would nod, rising to his paws. Obscuro would turn, taking a few steps back before facing the boy again. Swiftly, he set some basic defenses, stance widening. "Prepare yourself!"
