Going Our Own Way

Esperanza would listen to Chrono talking to Roman, her eyes saddened for she had taken Tortuga as a good home. She would see Chrono look over to her to see if she had anything to say, and Esperanza would speak in her kind and compassionate tone that she always used. "Thank you for everything Roman, hopefully our paths will cross again some day," she would say with a smile, bowing her head in a respectful manner. Her emerald eyes shimmered slightly as the sun touched them.
