You're Gonna Go Far Kid - The Offspring

Large black paws carried the brown male across the earth. He'd been hiding in the wilderness, moving quietly and in secret as he attempted to muster his motley crew together as he worked to rebuild what he was lost. At first in had simply been a longing for what was lost. A family and shelter, and a warm bed to sleep in, but now. Now it was something much more. It was Defiance and Rebellion. They could knock him down as many times as they wanted, he would just continue to get back up and dust himself off. So, the wolf walked tall. He was not the carefree and reckless brat from the desert sands anymore. No. Newol was a man of Alacritis. One who lived among chaos. One who strives for something. And so it was with that notion that he stood tall. Head held upright, ears standing up. His tail swaying behind him. He wasn't here to look commanding and intimidating, no. But he was also not here to be commanded or intimidated. That was all that he was trying to say. Newol was not a subordinate anymore. No. He was his own free soul. And he was alive with a fire in his chest.

So... This was the Firefly Lake. This was Ebony territory. Katja's land. One could only run madly through the woods chasing something for so long before they had to stop for a moment and catch their breath, and so that is why he had decided to come here to see this Festival. But, the fact that it was Katja's doing had been what had kept him away for so long. His meeting with her had left a very cautious tone in him concerning her. She was very head strong and her primary concern was to keep her pack strong. And he believed that she had a very narrow view of the word Strong. To her, strong was just the application of physical strength. He wondered if she realized that the soul applied too. It was the soul that washed down like an ocean of fire and caused a body to be pushed to point unnormal. Sometimes even unnatural. And, Katja always had a motive. He'd learned that when she'd tried to use his strife to her will to pull him into Ebony. This didn't seem like her, this festival. He felt like she was up to something. But what?

Oh well, it didn't matter. He wasn't here to entertain the busted politics of a little she wolf that couldn't handle the real world and thus rejected her soul. No. Quite simply, he was here because he was bored. And he wanted to see it. See this with his own eyes. And who was to say that wasn't a good enough reason. Packs had been conquered and families and happiness destroyed over less of a reason. Anyways, point was he wasn't here to make a scene. And he would notbe staying. So, walking over to the shore of the lake, he lowered himself to a sitting position. Others were free to approach him if they so wished, but he wasn't going to actively seek interaction. Social gatherings weren't his style, so he wasn't sure how to just dive in. For now he chose to be calm. But who knew where this night was going.
