Instead of taking off full speed, little Pericles had been running at a good pace, not too fast like Kairos who had been in the lead. The way he was doing it Peri could run longer since he wasn't using too much energy. He was a little bit away from his mother and Tiber, that way they would not give him away when he tried to sneak up on Kai. He made sure to stay near vegetation, covering his light colored pelt. He managed to make his way behind Kai without being noticed, tail wagging behind him as he slowly moved forward, going unseen. He made sure his paws would not crunch any leaves or twigs, moving his large paws around them until he was just within jumping distance. Then he pounced with a bark, forepaws stretched out in front of him as he tried to tackle his brother. I'm the new king!
