Wrapped up in what he was doing, the young boy would not catch the sound of pawsteps approaching him from behind. Orange eyes were wide and focused, not wanting to miss a single thing about these little creatures he was trying to watch and learn about. It was only when the pregnant woman had come up beside him that Hercules noticed, head whipping to the side and eyes narrowing on the woman in slight frustration. "Shhhh!" He hushed her, coming out more harsh than he had intended. He would turn his head back to look forward, ears readjusting themselves, making sure that the woman and himself didn't scare away any of the small animals.

With a small smile, finding that nothing had changed, the end of his tail little moved from side to side. And since nothing had changed, the boy would turn his head slightly to the side, gaze focusing on the woman's oddly grey eyes. "Sorry." He whispered quietly, turning his attention back to the hole. He hoped she wouldn't be too mad at him, the boy was just trying to be as still and quiet as possible so the rabbits came out but then she appeared and could have ruined everything.

With a soft sigh he would lay his head back a top his paws in a more comfortable position, tail wrapping around his left hindleg. "Waiting for them to come out." He added on after a few moments of silence, even giving a small motion of his head to the dark hole in the earth. Did she know about these things? Would she be able to answer some of the questions he couldn't?
