Everything was dead. The whole forest had long since burned down, the embers died long ago and left ashes and sorrow in their wake. A little ember now travelled amid the ashes, exploring this place where she had caught the scent of someone that had invaded her home. One of the wolves from the pack who had taken the serpent plains from her family. Curiosity drew her forth, tea cupped pulling her across the soot strewn terra like a benevolent spirits. The constant shush of the ash under her coal black paws and singular rust red limb was the only sound within the once prosperous forest. Mismatched audits twitched as she sought any form of sound, something to announce the presence of a stranger before she came upon them. Finally, a steel blue behemoth came into her view, looking distant and distracted. He had his back to her, his attention far from focused on the wisp of a girl who was closing in on him. Part of her desired to frighten him, a small bit of vengeance for his stealing of the place where she grew up. She watched him with toxic green eyes, questioning whether she should follow her instinct, the desire to be a hellhound and make the man afraid- or whether she should simply leave him be. She had recently confronted the leader of the pack that had taken her most recent home from her, but it hadn't gone very smoothly. Should she follow the same path with this giant?
Her teeth itched to taste the fur of his tail, to clamp down on the extremity and see if he bellowed or squealed. It was a very rude thing to do, but she'd done worse to those who deserved it. The gangly youth narrowed her acid green orbs at the man, accusation in her every bone. He had taken her home from her, when she was no more than two seasons old. Now, he was probably thinking about taking this place for himself. Unbidden did a growl slip from between her onyx lips, and the lass turned away from the man. She had no desire to be around him, she didn't see a point. Double dipped plume flicked at her hocks in irritation, and she stalked away, a deep frown furrowing her brow and scrunching up her dainty features. Tiara would fall between narrow shoulders, and she shuffled away. "Better be worth it." She muttered, soft vocals barely a whisper to herself as she walked away. She truly meant it, being evicted from the only home she knew better have been worth the slate brute's time and he better have damned well loved it there. She shouldn't have been kicked out for any less.
OOC: For love of all that is fluffy and cute in this world I wish I could have written a better reply but smelling Abaven on him made this post turn into grumpy Ace.
