North and east and south and west; Oberon was determined to remind himself what these lands felt like. The soil beneath his paws was unfamiliar, vastly different from the cold soil of the Northern lands. Oberon wasn't sure if he liked these lands; they reminded him, in their own way, of his home. Ludicael was nothing but a memory to the man now, however, and until he gathered himself and approached his family's home, he would have no idea whether or not it still stood. A lot of these places had changed in time that had passed between Oberon leaving and his return, it seemed. New packs claimed new names and new territories, and Oberon was still feeling his way around.

This continent was the familiar stranger in his life. It was just similar enough that he knew the lands and where they were, but the very landscaped seemed different now. Or perhaps he was overreacting. The latter option seemed more likely to Oberon, who twitched his ears in vague annoyance with his train of thought. He was not prone to strong displays of emotion, but the sheer strangeness of it all was throwing him off just enough that he felt on edge.

Oberon needed to get it under control. The male took a deep breath, inhaling the warm summer air, and exhaling forcefully. Within moments, he could feel equilibrium returning. There. That was better. And as control returned, Oberon stretched smoothly, before beginning to pad along, oblivious to the fact that these lands were inhabited.
