They'd met in very interesting circumstance. Back when the plague of his sister's memory still haunted him. When the guilt of her death was too much for him. When it suffocated him, crushed him beneath its weight. He hadn't forgotten about his sister. He could never forget about his sister. She still came to his thoughts every once in a while, but they weren't thoughts about her death. They were about the times that they had spent together, playing, sleeping just being together. Desdemona's presence, her wonderful, beautiful, heavenly presence had chased away his guilt and replaced it with love. She'd shown him what kind of man he really was. She'd taken him in, despite his broken state and patched him back up. She wasn't exactly in one piece, but that was what made her so perfect. She too had come from a past, perhaps worst than his, he had no idea, but that allowed her to understand where he was coming from. She fixed him and he fixed her. They completed each other, filled in where the other one lacked. If anything, they were truly meant for each other and nothing on this planet, not even death would ever seperate them.

His frame was still on the other side of the small ravine, his bi-colored gaze falling across his wife's as she bowed against the earth, her body twisted with what appeared to be fear. Fear of what? She was the alpha to a pack now and he was still here. What did she have to be afraid of? She rose slowly, as if the weight of the entire world was resting on her shoulders, ambling her way forward. Her paws splashed through the small ravine as she crossed the expanse between them, closing the gap, but still leaving a good amount of room between them. Demonio's heart pounded painfully against his chest as he watched her, wishing he could erase the events of the past few hours. There was no need for them to be like this, but the ivory knight couldn't ignore what she had done to him.

His gaze roamed her body, noticing how her tail tucked itself between her hindquarters and how her head lowered to rest at the level with her shoulders. That position wasn't right for her. It had never been. Especially now that she was an alpha. He was the one that needed to be submitting to her, not the other way around. He wanted to tell her that she didn't need to do that but before he could utter a word she began to speak. Her usually sweet voice was now soft, the pain behind it making his jaw clench, water stinging his eyes. He listened and he listened as she spoke, explaining her reasoning for having done what she didn. He completely understood. He did. What she did made sense. The only bad thing about it was the way that she went about it. She took a step forward, as if to present him with a touch but instead bowed, her entire front part of her body lowering to the earth. And that's when he lost it. The water shed from his eyes, trickling down his cheeks to drop onto the earth. It broke his heart to see her like this. She should never have to be like this. Never in front of him or anyone.

He lowered himself to the ground completely, bleached belly rubbing against the earth as he crawled in front of her, position himself beneath her as he raised her muzzle with his nose, unable to bear looking at her like this. Desdemona...you are my entire life. You are the reason I was put on this earth. The reason I am still breathing. I love you more than anything on this planet, more than life itself. You are my soul mate, my angel, my goddess, my absolute everything. And even though what you did hurt me, I can't hold it against you, not when you did it for our family's benefit. I love you Desdemona, but please, don't ever do that to me again. Your side is where I belong and where I will stay, no matter what life throws at us. His voice was strangled, thick and husky with the fresh tears that flowed down his cheeks, bi-colored gems shut tightly in an attempt to stem the flow.
