Today This Ends

The warmth and safety of the womb was all she had known, until she felt a change. Walls contracted around her tiny form, pushing her out into the world so that she may begin her new life. Cry's were heard from her little maw, white and gray fur damp from the birth. She would not settle until she was placed at her mothers breast, a soft sigh leaving the girl as she began to suckle. The sweet liquid was something she craved and needed, and was unaware of the happenings around her. The child knew not that she was a bastard, was not aware tat the beast who sired her was watching on. All she needed to know was warmth and comfort, breathing and milk. The child was sweetly unaware of all the more bitter things around her, and to her new mind all was well with the world.
