She wasn?t sure that she?d ever seen Dhiren quite like this, of course upon his hearing of Novel?s attack she had seen a rage that had never been before. Now though, he seemed cold, numb almost as his eyes would find her gaze. He?d hear her question and answer it darkly. She?d listen to the story attentively, she was horrified to find what had happened to the girl, yet as he went on she?d find that it would become increasingly apparent she was not so truthful as she said. He would make it painfully obvious that he was not the father, that these were not her grandchildren.
Something still did not seem right, the girl seemed so afraid, and so wrong. She still couldn?t see the deception in those eyes, but of course she would give her full support to her eldest son. Truthfully she knew not what to do, but she would advise him as best she could. "I think you?ll have to talk to her when she wakes up Dhiren. Just keep your mind open. We don?t know what happened to the girl." She wouldn?t tell him of the scent she?d memorized for later use, maybe he?d caught it himself.
