Scorpion's question caught her off guard, but after the sudden shock, she wasn't surprised. She knew that the man was obsessive about treasures and she was one of those that would be a rarity. Silently, she chewed on her crab meat, thinking it over. If she chose to go with him, she would probably be treated really well and not have to want for anything. Her life would be luxurious and she would get whatever she wanted. If he had asked her a year ago, she would have fought him off tooth and nail. Independence was what she had strived for and she enjoyed having it without having a name burned into her chest.
Pandora swallowed her food and gave him a sideways glance. "What about your wife and children?" She warily asked. The main thing she didn't want to think about was his baby mama and their many youngsters racing around her paws. Pandora refused to be second fiddle in an orchestra involving many cymbals and a big cello.
