After the death of his sister he hadn't expected much of life. Why should he when he was the most dispicable creature that had ever set paws on the earth? After leaving his homelands, the ivory knight hadn't thought that his life was really going anywhere. Arriving in alacritis was a welcome change, but nothing that would inspire hope for better days. His sister's death had still plagued him, each heavy pawstep that he took was a constant reminder. Each glance at himself was like reliving her death all over again. It wasn't until he'd met Desdemona, his she-twin, her bi-colored gaze just a shade off from matching his that his sister's death no longer became a plague.

She'd been a blessing in disguise. At first glance he'd seen her as a possible companion, someone who could fill in the empty void and the lonely days. She was so much like him, unable to see herself the way that he saw her and he unable to see himself the way that she saw him. They were two halves of the same wolf, just coincidentally in two different bodies. They say that opposites attract but there wasn't one thing that they didn't share in commmon. She was perfect. From her alabaster coat, exactly, exactly the same as his, to her hidden scars, to her mismatched eyes, to the bulk of her heavenly body, to the way she walked, talked, breathed, every single little detail about her was diving perfection. There was no one more beautiful than his wife.

Their love had come quickly, something developed over the span of a few months and yet it was the most real thing that Demonio had ever experienced in his life. It was so true, so honest that he felt blessed that he had found such a thing. True love. Desdemona was his true love. His only love. The woman he wanted to spend the rest of his days with. The woman he wanted to grow old with and watch their children grow and have children of their own. Despite her past, and despite the mistake she had made, she was his angel, heavenly perfection and nothing she did would ever change his mind about her.

A soft cry, whine or whimper he couldn't tell, escaped her jaws as he moved himself beneath her, her own salty tears slipping from her jewels to fall upon his pelt, forever lost. He could feel how her body trembled, her sobs quiet in his ears as he felt more than saw her body lower itself to the ground to be level with his. She crawled forward until her neck wrapped around his, squeezing him with all her strength. He returned the gesture, wrapping his own neck tightly around hers, needing her to feel his love for her. Audits pricked forward as she spoke, apology after apology slipping from her jaws, soft repetitive cries. They stayed like that, wrapped in each other's embrace for a long time, long enough that when they came apart the sun had dipped below the mountains. He fixed his bi-colored gaze on his wife as she spoke to him, promising him that from now on she would tell him everything. What's done is done my love, let's leave it in the past. Your complete honesty and undying love is all I ask of you. he spoke quietly, brushing the underside of her jaw with his tongue as she rested her muzzle atop his. This was how they were supposed to be. How they were meant to be.
