Many a mile had been swept under those giant, rough-padded paws. Yet the tawny and black legs that led to them gave no sign of fatigue or even unsteadiness. The massive male stood tall and still, a proud angle to his shoulders and a steely glint to those otherwise lifeless yellow eyes. One would've thought he was returning to his own territory rather than coming to some place his gaze had never fallen upon. A part of the quiet, calm, assurance was his own character, another part, the fact that his brother, newly reconsiled, was the one who held sway over these feilds and forests.

Gargoyle had been invited some time ago to come and spend some days among Collision's family and pack. It would've been a fine celebration to the remaking the alliance. Yet at that time Gargoyle had had his own family to look after. The duties of and Alpha and what not. Only now, with his paws moving in the hunt of a murder, did he find time to visit his brother's borders.

His motives for coming now numbered many. Among them still sat the desire to see the distant members of his family, but now there was also the need to see if the murderer's scent trail lingered anywhere near these parts, the need to seek with a friend, and the need for the assistance of a healer.

Gargoyle stepped only one more step, before throwing back his head and sending his summons ringing off into the cool evening air. It was late in the day, sunset was nearly upon the world, yet there was a dusky softness to the trees which surrounded him. To some extent, as the light faded, he seemed to blend all the more perfectly with the bush and wood. And odd fact, for in his own realm he stood out like a sore thumb most of the year. Here, there were only his bright yellow eyes - almost too large to be lupine - that distinguished him from the gathering gloom.
