Oh no! She could tell after the moment she had uttered the words that they had not been received well. Pyrros appeared to grow still, contemplative, and the look upon his face as he turned to face her, with his scowl and upturned lip, sealed her fears. Somehow mentioning her family had been the wrong way to go about it. Somehow it had set off his ire, and now he was turning that ire back around on her. She had angered him.
He stalked her way, hackles rising with his jaws slightly parted in a show of intimidating teeth that allowed his low growl to rumble out into the open air clearly. Anais shrank even further in place as he came closer, ducking her head, lifting a foreleg, nearly threatening to roll if that was what it came to. A placating whine slipped from her muzzle as he addressed her in harsh tones, flinching from the severity of his demand. How had she ever thought him funny and entertaining when she first found him?
"They-they're at the Range. My mom and dad," she explained feebly, her voice shaking as she nervously stared up into the angry face of her aggressor. "I just...they'll miss me," she added, though she still doubted he would care. Frightened by his behavior, the clear threat below his tone, the grey-gold girl dared not move out of her crouched position, hoping something of her own behavior, if not her words, would convince him not to harm her.
