It had been too long since she'd seen her siblings. For most of the summer, Hel had been scarce, keeping in the general vicinity of her family as well as she could but wandering far and wide. 'Home' was home only in the vaguest sense of the word - most of the time, Hel was a day's travel or more from her barely used densite. It was only when the frosty island had caught her attention during her wanderings that Hel found herself making her way towards it curiously. The swim certainly hadn't been pleasant for the girl, but she'd made it and despite the shivers that wracked her frame, she moved swiftly, letting her muscles generate their own warmth rather than buckling down somewhere until she warmed up. No need to wait, not when she could warm up faster by moving around.

Sheer luck brought the entwining scents of her sister and brother to her nose. Though Hel had seen little of Ace and Aksel, she had seen even less of Everest in the past months. She felt closer to these two than she did the other girl, and eagerly, Hel set off in search of her family. Tail wagging enthusiastically, Hel bounded forward, racing through the snow and frosty grounds until she could hear the voices of Ace and Aksel in the cool air.

Unlike Aksel, Hel didn't opt for an even remotely subtle approach. Delightedly, she raced through the snow, black tail wagging a mile a minute. "Ace! Aksel!" She yipped their names happily, skidding to a stop with a small spray of snow, tongue lolling happily from her maw as she stopped. She had missed them. They were the only wolves, save her father, that Hel truly trusted and loved and being without them had been more lonely than she'd realized until these exact moments when she was in their company again.
