She stood again on the edge of the plains calling for the alpha as she had not so long ago. She stopped on her journey between Sawtooth and Arcanum, determined to reach her allies before they could be tainted by the words of her enemy. She marched on through the pain of her wounds. If Helios sought her out, she prayed that this was where he would find her. She had admitted only to going to the allies, Arcanum and Solstice. Nothing had been said of her other visit and nothing would be until she was certain of the plan. She sat back on her haunches as she awaited her recent ally, and she licked gently at her still fresh wounds. Poe hopped on the ground beside her, searching for some prey to occupy his time during the meeting. She needed to inform Crucifix of what had happened, the new festival agenda, and her plans for the future. She needed to ensure that he was still on her side. |
