The others were paired, and of course he, for both age and rank, was left on the sidelines. Forsaken wouldn?t sigh, though his ear gave a flick of disappointment. He... Had liked the feel of getting knocked over by Catalya. Perhaps... He would ?play? with a more commonly ranked wolf. If he paid attention he could figure out just what ones were safe to encourage a spat with. Though he had to be careful. If he overstepped his boundaries no doubt the silver Queen would be quite irritated with him. Yes... And that would not at all be good.

So the slave would wait, watching the older wolves as they began their spars. Ears would perk forward, gaze taking note of the defenses they tried to put up. It was rather intriguing, and exciting, to hear the snarls and growls as the spars went on. The young boy found himself shivering some with excitement. What an amazing feeling this was! He could hardly wait to see how he would fair when it came time to challenge for a rank above slave. But... He?d be lucky if had the strength to accomplish that, wouldn?t he? He hadn?t really gotten anything to eat since coming here. Enough to survive, though there was a gnawing in his gut. It didn?t matter. He would survive.

Golden gaze would trail back to the Queen, seeing her next to the pregnant lady of gold. He wasn?t sure how he felt about the fact even younger pups would soon be in the pack. He didn?t exactly care for their whining. Not that he had any choice in the matter.
