F?li may have thought it fitting for it to be an owl like Atlas though Sorrel didn't share those thoughts. Whilst in some sense he aspired to be like his mother, gaining some bird to fly around after him was not a key step in obtaining her knowledge and skills with plants and healing. Atlas of course was rather admired by the young man, the wise barn owl had been around since his birth and was in a sense part of the family. It would be wrong to assume he had anything against owls or any kind of bird though simply didn't wish for one himself.
Whilst he had little time for Ellingham, Sorrel certainly had time for his twin and wouldn't be tempted to stray away as F?licien joined him. He would give a steady nod of his head in agreement to the comment. As for the returning home, it wasn't so much the lands that were a problem, in fact for the least adventurous of his siblings it was a wonder he wasn't having any difficulties with the strange lands though it appeared he had long outgrown that desire to never leave the den. That was perhaps the only thing he looked forward to about home really in comparison to the other lands, his den, own little private place that typically didn't have to be shared with an entire pack. "Any idea when that will be?" He would question, perhaps F?li had heard something when he hovered around the rest of the pack.
