Not For Me

She didn't get it. She didn't get that Caeto was leaving her. Whether she knew the extent or not, it would seriously hurt him. He could feel his heart heave in his chest but his gaze wouldn't dare turn to hers again. He wouldn't be able to take it. He might has well dug his grave where he stood.

He heard her almost comforting words. She would be here, waiting. And he wanted to tell her that he would be waiting too, probably on the other side of the world but so what? Instead he would end their last meeting abruptly.

"I've gotta go."

Too bad he wasn't going on an endless journey to continue the search of his precious family. He wished he was. But that part of his heart had sailed away. And he would finally turn away without another word spoken.
