Work Through The Pain [Birthing Thread]

The time had finally come and Maija was more than ready to have it over with. She had grown swollen, looking as if she had swallowed a jackrabbit whole. As the beginning stages of her labor reached her, she tossed up a lone howl specifically for her Queen and baby daddy. The idea of having both there when the children came was enthralling and she hoped they wouldn't disappoint her. Slowly, she turned back to the safety of her den and made herself comfortable.
Restlessness began to fall upon Maija as the contractions got worse and closer together. She could feel the changes without watching it happen. Leaf-green eyes closed as waves of pain swept over her golden body. Maija became short of breath a time or two, but she pushed through it and dealt with the pain. Her frame continued to be writhed with pain, despite every effort she made of stopping it.
