Her kiss landed and Esti felt the pull of her tongue against her brother's fur. His scent now surrounded her, surpassing the strength of the tar smell, and erased any doubt. This was her Laufey. She heard her name in his breath. In an instant he was rearing towards her and engulfed her in a hug- this time with no biting. Their fluffy, gigantic bodies collided with a dull thud and Esti's lips fell into a loose, panting smile as she was pulled into his chest. The girl nuzzled into her brother, nibbling at his fur as her tail swept the ground. This really, really was her brother. Even after all the time, it was somehow good and comforting to see him.
The hug continued, and Esti's heart beat hard in her chest. Maybe it was just that she had gone off alone for a while, but the influx of feelings was welcomed this time. This closeness to another made the girl feel oddly whole, but she didn't question it. Instead, Esti pushed herself tight to her brother. Regaining her breath, she finally asked, "What's up?"
