His tail wagged behind him in a happy manner as Novella answered his question. Dhiren adored his aunt, even if he didn't spend as much time with her as his mother. Novella was now leader of Threar, and he knew all too well about the stresses that came with the job. If he ever needed to talk to her, however, he knew that she would be there.
"I'm glad you did, Aunt Novella," he admitted. "I didn't know how you and Uncle Frith did when the storm hit." To see her in perfect health made him happy. Then, his mother appeared out of the blue. He nuzzled her in return and listened to her as she mentioned his nephews. Those boys had his heart, even if they didn't realize it yet.
