Katja listened in silence as Arian described her pack in broad, sweeping terms that could just as well have described Yfir or half a dozen other packs and did very little to pinpoint for Katja what the pack was like. Very little, but not nothing - she found it unlikely that it was a pack with any dark tendencies, and by the way the woman spoke she believed it most likely to be a "good" pack than anything else, and seemed fairly insular rather than the interfering type. Unlikely to pose a threat to Yfir unless Yfir threatened them directly. When the woman intimated that she wanted to ally with Yfir, Katja's gaze turned frosty and the tip of her tail flicked. "As I stated, I do not seek allies for Yfir. Even were I, what you propose is only the shallowest of allegiances designed merely to protect your own pack. It would not be acceptable." Raising herself imperiously, her tail curving around her hocks, she shook her head. "I believe I have my answer, Arian of Isokan. You need not expect war from Yfir, but neither will we shed our blood for a pack unwilling to do the same. Farewell." A sharp, dismissive nod and the Yfir alpha turned to slip away. This meeting had proven rather short on details, but she knew what she needed to know for now.She'd taken her opportunity to ask her questions - it was not her concern if Arian did not. -exit Katja- |
