She?d carry him as best she could, dragging his feet, but walking fast enough that the blood loss would not kill him before she got him home. She just had to hurry. Thankfully, unlinke Threar their healer?s den had been untouched by the waters, their stores somewhat full for the oncoming winter. He?d be fine once they reached home. Still, there was worry within her, and for the first time in a long time she?d find herself looking to the gods for help. After she?d lost Descant a big part of her felt like it had died. She cursed the divine and left Ludicael. Now, she knew not else what to do. Then the child spoke to her. She?d feel herself push on quicker, knowing now that there was a chance to save this young wolf. ?No, not yet little one. Hang in there though, we?re on our way home.?
