D?gmar's jaws ripped further into the thigh of the mother buffalo who stumbled violently before crashing to the earth. The impact dislodged the blood-thristry wraith and she hit the ground with a thud. D?gmar quickly got to her feet as the mother bison struggled up as well. Her head was ringing, ears filled with the sound of thundering hooves and the shrill cry of the calf as it paniced and fought. She turned as the cry strung out. The calf was on the ground, weakly kicking at the wolves that swarmed around it. Blood coated the little beast and within moments it stopped moving? dead. The cow paced back and forth for a moment but some instinct told her the calf was dead and she turned to follow the rest of the herd. D?gmar trotted over to the group and let out a howl summoning Katja to see the handiwork of their new pack as well as a call to anyone else who wanted to eat. "Well, that was fun. I don't say this often but? good work. You all might shape up to be decent hunters after all" |
