Cardinal? Again with the bird metaphors, and each time it both irritated and flattered him. His plumage was something he adopted from his mother - who he adored, so he didn't complain about the nick name... and yet he wasn't very fond of birds. The boy would grin back at the woman though, when she complimented his family. "You have no idea." His mothers and brother were gorgeous, he had yet to find others as uniquely colored as they on this continent and figured that he wouldn't.
He would watch her, and look to the strange pool of water that she had been gazing into. It was certainly not something he had seen before... but it was a pond all the same, wasn't it? "What, you know anything special about it?" He hadn't heard the whispers or caught on to the lore, and but he wasn't the type to stick to one place for very long. "If you're talking about yourself, you're not all that interesting." The red male would shrug. "Nice eyes though." The giant could appreciate the shade if nothing else.
"I'm Vivek Sovari." He would introduce himself with a bit of pride, his tail slashing behind him as he boasted his heritage. There were those that would surely tear him down because of it - but he hadn't a clue about any of that. To him, his family was only something to be proud of, not something to hide and distance himself from for the sake of his own preservation.
