She fell into the darkness, the lack of air and the ice cold water forced the energy out of her. Black swarmed around her orbs as she fought to remain conscious but it was a lost battle. She vaguely felt strong jaws grasp the scruff around her neck and haul her out of the frigid water. She took a deep breath, sputtering a little before letting the darkness over take her. She felt the coldness withdraw from her body as her mate wrapped around her. Her breathing was still ragged, trying to fill her lungs as full as she could. Her fur was still sopping wet, leaving her small frame to tremble majorly.
