Good Days Start Like This

It wasn't very often she came to the mainland, every so often she would swim here to meet with Vivek or Pandora on occasion. Sometimes she would go with Desiree when her wife wanted to travel a bit but for the most part Vi was more then happy to live out her life on the beaches of Ibis island with her wife. It was like going from 100km/h to a dead stop over night but Vi had adjusted quite nicely to it. The fact that her leg constantly troubled her didn't really help either though. The waters were getting cooler and it was making old wounds act up. Her shoulder was still mobile, still weight baring thankfully, but it was painful to move sometimes and her paw didn't move as well as it should. Swimming was what was keeping her mobile she felt, often swimming around Ibis island when Desiree was of doing her thing to try and keep her mobility as best she could. But now the water carried a bit to chill with it, it did almost as much damage as it did good. She would pull her chilled and soaking body from the ocean, red pelt clinging to thin frame as she moved up the black beach to slowly shake the droplets from her pelt. She was cold now, damn she regretted this. Tremors ran through her body as she shook again to attempt to rid herself of the chill that clung to her body. She was about to flop on the ground when a familiar face filled her view.
Jaws clamped around a bird and Vi would tip her head curiously as she regarded the russet woman as she dragged a seagull down. Vi could honestly say she had yet to actually taste bird so a strange curiosity overcame her as she turned and began walked towards the woman. Rohini wasn't it? Vi struggled to remember her name but her face was hard to forget, she had met Rohini not long after her maim challenge with Roman. The red woman would pause a short distance away from the younger woman, a smile dancing across her features as she watched her younger counterpart enjoy her meal for a moment before clearing her throat. "Rohini?" Vi would ask, tentative at first before she would move a bit closer and sit, falling back onto her haunches tiredly as aching forepaw would lift slightly to ease the ache.
