Cat's words wrapped themselves around Maija's ears as the contractions wrapped around her abdomen. She felt her ears perk for an instant as the pain ran along her body. Words did not slip from her lips, nor did any further whimpers. She was a warrior and a bitch rolled into one. The pain would be nothing compared to future endeavors. Leaf-green eyes met the corals burning in the Queen's skull and she gave up a few words. "Worth every damn minute." And the labor progressed. Her babies, number unknown to her, came to her and the world around them. She pushed when she needed to and proceeded to feel the blood ooze from her womb. As soon as the first one came forth, she began to clean it and help it reach her stomach. A new legend was born, one that would make her proud. Talk like this |
