Birdspying

The sounds of singing of many birds lured him in. Never before had he known of such a place where the birds were vast in number and sang in harmony with their melodious tunes. Whatever song they were singing in their language, was quite soothing to the ear. Having come upon their estuary he chose to sit back upon his haunches and listen awhile. There was nowhere else he wished to be at that moment. Anyone would could not enjoy the beauty of the birds vocals had to be insane he thought. That or completely tone deaf. He reminded himself that everyone had different tastes be it in their food choice, choice of mate or even in the choice of sounds they preferred to listen to.
His tail began to sway, to and fro, beating against the ground in the rhythm of the avians lyrical tweeting and chirping. He did not dare interrupt with a howl as that was a different sound entirely, though he could sing by howling rather than voicing words in his native language or the tongue his mother had taught him. Instead he chose only to listen and move his tail about as he didn't even really notice its movements as he gazed up at the birds, spying them as some flew one way and swooped another.
