A flare of pain made him flinch away from his sister's teeth and release his grip on her face, a flinch that may have saved his life. Esti readjusted her grip, a movement that, combined with his leaning to the right, caused her teeth to dig into the lower left side of his neck once more. This time her fangs caught him further to the left; the puncture wounds, nearly identical to the first, overlapped the older ones in the middle, creating a venn diagram out of weeping wounds. The pain was intense; flaring down his side in waves.

Though all of this, many of the boy's defenses stayed in place. His flattened ears, narrowed eyes, lifted hackles, raised tail, rolled shoulders, splayed toes were unaffected by Esti's attack.

Much to his surprise, his shove worked. In fact, it kind of felt like Esti was helping him push her to his left. Hoping to disengage, the boy removed his forelimbs from around his sister's neck and were it not for her teeth still embedded in his neck, would have moved away from her entirely. As it were, he felt the sting of his skin tearing under her teeth and, afraid of the damage that it could do, he decided to ride out the fall with her. Muscles tensing, his spine straightening once more, Laufey held his forelimbs aloft as he prepared for his next attack. Hoping to capitalize on their downward momentum and his hefty weight, the boy rolled his right shoulder further forward as he fell in an attempt to drive it into the left side of Esti's neck. Simultaneously, the young titan would step forward with his hind legs in the hopes of packing the attack with crushing force. The move was not unlike the forward assault of a ram.

As he fell, the boy's gaping jaws snaked downward and to the right. He aimed to grab his sister by the left side of the face, his lower teeth digging into her jaw and his top teeth digging into her ear. If fate was on his side, his teeth would slice through her skin and give her a scar to remember him, and his superiority, by.
