Things would never be the same within Solstice, or at least that was how the brute was beginning to feel. Every time Sibelle left the pack lands she came back a little more damaged, a little more of her missing. This time, he had had to go out and bring her home, fight for her life only to bring back a shell of her, bring her back damaged in a whole different way. He was near his breaking point, he knew it even if he couldn't let anyone else see it. The wolf he had brought back with him wasn't the fiery tempest he had fallen in love with, he had lost that spirit of her, that dangerous beauty that had once captured him for a one night stand only to have coming back wanting more, wanting a life time. He had given her a pack, and she had given him children, they had begun to start a life together, they had started to make Solstice work with their combined efforts. When Orchid summoned them all for a meeting he would blindly make his way towards the meeting spot, he had moved his den next to his old one and moved the kids to give Sibelle space to adjust. She was welcome to join them whenever she wished, but he did not want to push her when she was damaged. It was strange, and horrifying to see the strongest woman he knew fallen, and the boy felt so.. tired, defeated, he couldn't even summon emotions like anger now, for the ones who had done this to her, he was beginning to realise this was his life now - Sibelle would get bored of Solstice, go out in the world for a while, come back damaged.. rinse and repeat. He sighed as he dragged his lifeless body to sit at the meeting and place a smile on his face for Orchid to see. Walk "Talk" Think |
