Ignorance is Bliss

Her mothers voice would cause her to stir, immediately eyes would snap open and she would rise. She had been confined to the den for the first part of her life, but now she was finally allowed out. She would follow her mother without question, smiling softly as Cezar greeted her. The little animal would follow behind them, the tiny girl would immediately trot forward ahead of her mother. Nose was to the ground, her senses overwhelmed by the vast amount of smells. Audits twitched rapidly, so many sounds filling her skull. Emerald eyes darted back and forth, unable to focus on any one thing for too long. She would shake her paws with each step, the feeling of grass and dirt foreign against her soft paws.
She would grow bolder with each passing moment, venturing a little farther from her mother each time. The sun would finally touch, immediately warming her skin. It felt good. Haunches would drop, her face tipped upward, eyes closing against the blinding light. She would relish in the warmth that bathed her face, her tiny tail wagging furiously. She had been the only pup in her litter, but she was just fine with that, she got all her mothers attention. A tiny bark would leave her lips and she jumped up, bounding back towards her mother, looking thoroughly pleased with her new found freedom.
