Though she said nothing he?d watch as her lips turned up into a small smile in response to his words and the new proximity. Her features would brighten with that small movement of her lips, a new beauty would appear before him and again he would repress his thoughts. Too long had duty been his number one priority, the freedom in his future was daunting. As he looked away he?d close his eyes again, letting himself feel the silence surround them again. He might have wanted to fall back into a meditative state, but thoughts of her would continue to interrupt him. He couldn?t just forget about how close she was, or forget about the warmth they shared together. She?d reposition herself, seemingly very comfortable as she stretched her legs and leaned into him. He couldn?t keep his eyes from her for long, he?d see her look at the decoration that adorned his wrist. "Skah and I found these together." He?d say, in much the same way she looked at the bracelet. |
