As he settled his eyes would close and his muscles would relax, allowing him to fall into the familiar state of disconnect. His mind would detach from his body as he immersed himself within the goings on around him. The gentle calls of the birds, the warmth of the sun-baked stone at his side. The stillness of everything around him would cause his thoughts to be amplified as he brought himself before the goddess once more. He sought her will, he sought answers from her as he thought about the girl who occupied the sacred place with him. What were her plans for the poor child, had it really been her will to make her father an outcast? Many other questions would fill his mind as silently he would sit beneath the watch of those mysterious stones. |
