The Stories They Tell!

She had brought him here to be closer to with the goddess and he had followed her lead in silence, not directing or counselling her. At some point she had turned towards the land bridge and the falls and he had gently redirected her but that was it. Today their travels would take them to the grove of wild berries. The oracle finding a spot and settling herself there, Skah would hover for a moment, testing the winds before he would back up a bit and allow haunches to fold beneath him. He would sit for a while before transitioning to a laying down position. He would say nothing, wait as she tried to speak to the goddess. Or maybe she was communing to the goddess now. He would doze here and there, resting until a familiar scent drifted towards him. Tiva? Why was she here? Head would lift, raising slowly from his paws as he studied Ojise and decided she probably wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. Long legs would unfurl beneath him, pushing himself up as he moved away from Ojise silently. He was still feeling tired constantly, still weak from blood loss but he was walking solidly now without swaying too and fro as he had been for the first few days. He didn't have to go far to find his little sister, thankfully not having to go far from his charge. Triva was laying amongst the wild berries and the massive male would pause a short ways away from her for a moment. Gaze would soften, a slight smile would drift across his features as he moved forwards to drop his massive frame beside her."Little sister..." He would murmur, words a low baritone as he reached forward to nudge her rich chocolate shoulder. He felt the usual tightening of his chest as he studied her. She was so much like their mother that sometimes it hurt. Despite her having never met their mother Skah still saw a lot of their mother in her. She was strong. A painful desire to tell her everything burned in his chest but he would quell it, hoping to simply have an easy conversation for the first time in the last few days.
