A laugh could be heard coming from the depths of the forest. A black ball of fur moving between the trees, hop, hop, hop. A female pup had run off from her mother for some fun, going beyond the range her mother gave her permission to roam. The two had been walking a lot and today they could finally rest, but she did not want to lay around the den. No way, this little pup wanted to go exploring and maybe find somebody to play with. She bounded through the vegetation, stopping for a moment to stalk a bug. Lip pulled back to reveal a toothy grin, lowering herself to the ground, but her rear was up in the air, tail wagging. Slowly she crept forward, mismatched eyes focused on the butterfly before her. Inch by inch until she finally could reach it, and with that she gave out a bark before leaping. Paws slammed into the earth, hitting the ground with nothing beneath them. Darn, come back butterfly!
