She could not count the times she imagined what her mother looked like, her voice, her scent, anything about her. Would life have been different if she lived? Was she a protective mother, a worried mother, kind and tender? She stifled a sigh as she pushed her nose into her left foreleg. So trapped in her own thoughts she was unaware of being watched. She after all never grew up to fear anyone around her. Why would someone attack her unprovoked? She didn't know what had happened to Shak a few days ago, nor did she want to. It had scared the day lights out of her and it was something she'd rather forget.

A murmur to her side followed by a nudge made her jump. Fur spiking up in alarm till she turned her eyes to her large big brother. She would smile softly, allowing her fur to lay flat once more and poke him lightly on the nose with her own. "Big brother...How are you faring?" She responded. Her voice was soft, like the trickle of a small stream. Shak at her side only made her wonder more about Shai and their mother. She had never asked really, either too afraid to know the answer or just was uncertain of voicing it. She would look away, trying to just appear to be enjoying his presence but really avoiding his gaze. She did not want him to see the trouble in her eyes. The unsettling uncertainty of the unknown. She did not want to pester her hero.

He had many other things to tend to than the her little troubles. She did not like to cause problem for her older siblings when she knew that there was already some distance between them. But one day she'd make them proud, one way or another. She just needed to find what she was good at and excel in it.
