A little too far from home [Valentine]

She watched as his smirk grew, and she knew she had said the right thing. Perhaps she had found the answer to all their problems, perhaps she had finally found them a home in which they would be safe but not anxious. Imperium, it had a nice ring to it. A pack always ready for war but not always engaged in it. Oh, it was like a heaven she had never through to find. When he offered for her to go with him, and nothing more, she smiled almost knowingly. She understood why he didn't promise them a place in his home, not only for the fact that he had yet to see her brother, but that anyone could say they were warriors. "You need to witness our abilities, do you not, sir Valentine?" She said softly, knowingly as her eyes narrowed just a bit. Gears spun in her mind as she stared at him, removing her paw from the apple to keep it from getting any more bruised than it was. "I cannot leave with you today, I must return to my brother before nightfall and share with him this news." She said then, glancing away from him to the apple. Hoping this alternative would make up for her inability to follow him to the lands tonight, she smiled and let a silence settle between them for several heart beats. Finally she hummed lightly and looked back up at him, finally deciding an alternative. "Why don't we all meet, in a few days time, and Adair and I can show you first hand our ability to fight, and you may decide if we are appropriate to wear your pack's banner." "Burn Baby Burn" |
