Toast A New Beginning!

ooc: keeping it vague for the moment. If you missed the first deadline you have a second shot. If you don't make this second round you'll be considered a rogue and have to start the joining process over. [this goes for those in the claiming thread to, they need to post here]
Next deadline is Friday, Nov. 7 at 5:00.
A joyous cry rang out and Drashiel turned to the large, exuberant form that was Aldoro. He'd met the other male during the short time Indarra existed. Apart from Isardis and Argent they were the only other two members to dwell with in the pack and he was one of the few wolves Drashiel had conversed casually with. Drashiel nodded at Aldoro, greeting the other with a knowing smile. He could rest easy, Drashiel remembered him quite well and knew he would be a loyal member to the pack if he sought to join. "It's good to see you as well Aldoro, how have you been?" He hoped the other was well thought it seemed he'd put on some weight and he seemed a bit? off on his feet. Hmm? he'd definitely need to be whipped back up into fighting shape that was for certain but loyalty was a rare thing indeed and that was enough to endear him to Drashiel.
Another cheerful cry caught his attention and he turned to see Satu, the young femme he'd met while exploring the southern portion of Alacritis. My, what a spunky group of odd balls he seemed to be collecting so far. Drashiel would have his work cut out to turn them into a force to be feared. "Yea, it's Drashiel. Drashiel Armada. You're name is Satu, correct? I'll explain in a minute, but what of you, what are you doing this far north?"
Out of the corner of his eye he saw Sal'krie slink into the gathering. His smile dropped just slightly. There had been so much damage between him and his former friend and he hadn't the slightest clue how to go about fixing it or if he even wanted to. After all? she was the one that had chosen to abandon him. He made a note to talk to her privately after the gathering. Drashiel didn't know if he could ease the wounds between them but it would be necessary for them to know where they stood with one another, especially if she decided to stay. Deep down he wanted her to but she had betrayed him once. Would she do it again? The darker, possessive side of him swore to keep her no matter what but the other side urged Drashiel to let her make her own decisions. Besides, there was a chance she'd only bring him trouble and misery. It might be better to sever his ties with her for good if she had no desire to be with him. Isardis was possessive and hoarding but Drashiel didn't like the idea of babysitting a wolf that didn't want to be here anyway. Besides? Roman was back now.
The final wolf to appear was a young male, a large brute matching Drashiel in height. He appeared with a confident grin on his face and Drashiel nodded to him in recognition, beckoning him to come forward and join the group. "Welcome Mordecai. You have indeed come to the right place." The gathering was young, both in age and in soul but they were a spirited brunch and he would unite them into a strong pack for was that not the sign of a good leader?
"I thank you all for coming. For those that don't know me I am Drashiel Armada, son of Isardis the former king of Glaciem and I am the Linjal, the leader, of this pack. I seek to found a pack in this land by the name of Fehu. It is a name of prosperity and also of luck, both of which I hope we'll have. This pack will be founded on respect and strength. You respect me and I'll respect you. Also know that I expect you all to be trained in the arts of battle. Everyone here must learn to fight. Idealistic views on peace have no place here. While I have no interest in seeking out war right now, that doesn't mean others won't seek to start war with us. Complacency has no place here! Those that choose to freeload will be punished or driven out." Lips pulled back loosely over fangs to emphasize his point. "I value hard work. Those of you that work hard and are active in your roles have the chance to advance. Weak links will be severed. Above all I wish to see respect grow among Fehu's members. Fighters are the bulk of our force but they would be weakened without the skills of healers and hunters. No one is without value. Understood? If you still seek to join me then state your name and your skills and goals. We'll go from there. If you wish to leave now is your chance."
He took a moment then turned to Sal'krie. "Sal'krie. I claimed you in a fit of youthful folly after you deserted me. I recant my actions, you're free to go. Take your leave." This was a time of new beginnings. The past had no place here and Drashiel was determined to move away from it. He was his own wolf, he was not his father. He was not simply another Armada or a former Glaciemite. He was the Linjal of Fehu.
