i'll show you everything ,

She calls, and he answers. She may not have called for him, but Oberon would never let his mother fight this battle alone. Always, he will support her. Always he will stand by her side. And if he can fight for her, he will. But this fight, at least, is his mother's. He can do little to help her, but he will do what he can.

The black and peach wolf found himself standing silently behind the orange form of his mother. She stood tall and proud, larger even than her son, and Oberon found himself almost in awe of her. Jupiter had always been a Sol to him; he would always consider her to be a Queen, even if she did not have a pack. And now, it seemed, she was intent on reclaiming what had always been rightfully hers. After all, Oberon remembered what it had been like, as a pup, when they had had a family and a home and Alacritia as a whole had been vastly different. He wasn't sure that he liked it better now - but he was, on the whole, glad that he had made it back in one piece.

Solemnly, Oberon settled back on his haunches, lifting his voice only enough that Jupiter would hear it. "You will succeed, mother." Of course she would. His faith in his mother was boundless - she was Jupiter Illiadis, and if she desired, she could tear down the world brick by brick and build it anew. Oberon, despite being descended from her blood, felt as if he were weaker than the woman who had birthed him. Perhaps strength was not carried by blood - but then again, perhaps he would reveal untold strength and determination if someone came to harm his mother. He would never let anyone hurt her, not if he could help it.

Falling silent, Oberon settled down to wait, tail wrapping around his paws as he waits to see how this wolf will react to being challenged by the rightful ruler of his pack. Would there be a fight to the bitter end? Of course, Jupiter would win; she was more experienced than any other wolf these lands could boast of. How many had won as many death matches as she? How many had won as many battles as his mother? It had to be a short list, if it even existed at all.
